Through collaborative efforts with esteemed partners, we continue to strengthen the cancer care continuum and support national initiatives. Below are briefs on some of our pioneering cancer-related projects, highlighting their objectives and the profound impact they have made.

1. Integrated Oncology Electronic Health Information System
Project Brief: IntelliSOFT collaborated with the National Cancer Control Program (NCCP), Savannah Informatics Global Health Institute, and Clinton Health to develop an Oncology Module within KenyaEMR. This module integrates seamlessly into the DHIS2 system, creating a comprehensive Electronic Health
Information System tailored to oncology.
Impact: The Oncology Module significantly enhances clinical data input, access, and utilization across stakeholders. It extends Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) coverage to the entire cancer control continuum, fostering informed clinical quality improvement and adherence to guidelines.

2. Digitization of National Guidelines for Establishment of Cancer Centers
Project Brief: Our endeavor to digitize guidelines involved creating a platform for healthcare professionals to access and reference guidelines easily. Additionally, it aimed to provide the public with insights into accredited cancer centers and offer awareness materials.
Impact: The digitization ensures improved accessibility to cancer center establishment guidelines. It centralizes and coordinates activities, resources, and information related to cancer prevention and control, fostering a more informed and collaborative healthcare ecosystem.

3. Digital Facility Inspection Tool Project
Project Brief: IntelliSOFT collaborated with the National Cancer Institute of Kenya (NCI‑K) to digitize a paper-based facility inspection tool. This Android application-based tool ensures secure data storage and automates the facility scoring process for accreditation.
Impact: The digitization of facility inspections enhances data security and automates the accreditation process, ensuring that approved cancer facilities meet set criteria, thus elevating the standard of cancer care in Kenya.

4. National Cancer Registry of Kenya System, NaCaRe-KE
Project Brief: IntelliSOFT developed the National Cancer Registry System for NCI Kenya, digitizing the existing paperbased notification process to support nationwide reporting of cancer cases.
Impact: The NaCaRe-KE project plays a pivotal role in cancer prevention and control by enabling effective data collection and analysis. It aids in establishing and maintaining the National Cancer Registry, supporting evidence-based decision-making.

These projects exemplify IntelliSOFT’s dedication to fostering advancements in cancer care, aligning
with our mission to provide innovative, sustainable, and impactful digital health solutions.
