Steven Wanyee Macharia
Founder & CEOProvides overall technical leadership and guidance for all our work in the health sector right from conceptualization, development, implementation, use, support, and maintenance of digital health solutions. He is a Biomedical Informatics Specialist by profession, and added to his wealth of training, work experience and an exceptional grasp of the local and international health sectors, Steven also doubles as the lead liaison with health sector-based clients and partners.
He has initiated all our health-related work either through developing proposals in response to calls for Proposals, the establishment of long term partnerships, and continuously develops opportunities for IntelliSOFT primarily in the human and animal health sector.
Steven has graduate-level education and training in software engineering and biomedical informatics. He also possesses multiple HIS certifications including HL7. He is currently a medical informatics Ph.D. student.
Steven is a core Founder and current Secretary General of the Kenya Health Informatics Association(KeHIA), current Secretary of the Health Informatics In Africa (HELINA), and currently sits on the Board Of Directors of the OpenMRS Community as the Community Representative.
Steven is responsible for all the research, innovation, and development activities of the company.

She has diverse training and is highly skilled in Project Finance Management, Donor Funds Reporting and compliance, complemented by incrementally honed strategic stakeholder engagement to add value to a new team, project or organization.

Over the years she has played various roles in OpenMRS implementations and Health Information Systems in general such as technical support, implementation coordination, capacity building, quality assurance and currently she is focusing on technical project management which provides her a chance to practice all the various roles she has been involved in. She is also a key player in the OpenMRS community and is currently the Global OpenMRS QA lead and Global Event's Manager.

Digital Health & Technology Infrastructure LeadDr Kamau is an ICT professional with over 25 years’ experience in the ICT industry with over half of these years in management. He has work experience at operational, middle and senior management level. Dr Kmau has worked in public, private, NGO sectors and in academia as a part-time/adjunct lecturer in several universities in ICT and business management courses for about 10 years.
He has been involved in IS and management consultancy work for evaluation, designing and implementing ICT and management solutions and IT service delivery strategies for various organizations and more recently as health informatics consultancies and technical working groups with MoH Kenya and Uganda.
He has a keen interest in applying ICTs in addressing various business-related challenges. He believes proper engagement between ICT and business, appropriate business/IT alignment can be achieved, and this has the potential to sustainably improve business performance through digital transformations. For this to happen, IT and business has to work as a team in building organizational IT capabilities that is a requisite to guarantee business value of IT. In an effort to understand the pervasiveness of ICT application in business operations, Dr Kamau did a Ph.D. thesis on IS integration, IT capability and organizational performance that has given him a deeper knowledge and understanding in this area. He also has a keen interest in this research area in pursuit of how to leverage organizational performance on the ever-changing ICTs technologies.
